Azure Acres is fully licensed and accredited for medical detoxification services and residential addiction treatment. Treatment is evidence based and effective and insurance companies support our work through preferred provider status; we can work with most insurance companies to arrange for full or partial coverage of addiction treatment costs.

A Full Continuum of Care

No matter what your situation at treatment inception, we'll take you in and we will help you through every step on a journey of recovery; Azure Acres is proud to offer clients a complete continuum of care that begins with evaluation and medical detoxification, and continues past residential treatment, to step down care and long time continuing aftercare.

Medical Detoxification

Clients needing to withdraw under supervision will work under the care of a team of nurses and a doctor certified in addiction medicine to break free from a physical dependency to drugs or alcohol. Although cold-turkey withdrawal can be an agonizing (or even dangerous) process, modern medicines greatly reduce the discomforts of the detox period. Clients at Azure Acres will benefit from withdrawal medications such as Suboxone, as appropriate. There is no reason for any person to suffer through the ordeal of an un-medicated detox.

Residential Treatment

All clients prepare an individual treatment plan with a case manager, and this plan evolves as needed throughout a period of stay. Program components can include:

• 12 steps meetings
• Individual therapy
• Group therapy
• Meditation
• Yoga
• Educational workshops
• Relapse prevention therapy
• Family therapy
• Continuing medical monitoring
• Recreational therapy

Clients learn to incorporate recovery concepts into a new lifestyle of sobriety by the end of a residential stay.

Outpatient Day Program

Clients graduating from residential treatment can continue in a structured recovery process through participation in continuing outpatient day treatment (some people, who do not need around the clock supervision, can proceed straight to day treatment following detox).

Day treatment provides a continuing therapeutic experience, allowing clients to experiment with relapse avoidance each night when returning home, or to a local sober living environment.

The longer anyone in recovery stays involved in addiction treatment, the better the odds of success; Azure Acres' continuing step-down day treatment provides an excellent opportunity for continuing with appropriate treatment.

Continuing Care

Azure Acres has an array of continuing care programs to meet the needs of graduates in all stages of recovery. Aftercare programs include:

Getting Started

The treatment experience can begin with a simple but life-changing phone call. We can assess your problem and help you to select an appropriate level and type of care. If we do not provide the care you need, we will refer you to an outside organization that does.

Many people who call us do so on behalf of a loved one. We are familiar with the challenges and obstacles to treatment and can advise on ways to convince a reluctant addict of the need for treatment. One of the most powerful tools towards change is the family intervention; we can provide intervention advice and if necessary, can put you in contact with respected interventionists in your area.
