Academics
Some students come into CCA after years of academic underachievement; we will provide intensive tutoring tailored to each student’s learning style and we will help each girl experience the thrill of great academic achievement.
Our high school curriculum is experiential and classroom based and offers students a wide array of courses that demand critical thinking skills and which encourage a lifelong love of learning.
Since many students come into CCA displaying above average intelligence and below average grades, we assist each student to develop better time management, study skills and organizational capabilities – skills that will serve each girl well in the college future.
CCA is accredited and licensed and high school credits are fully transferable. Teachers at CCA are either master’s level experts or credentialed Arizona educators.
Equine Therapy
Girls at CCA have the opportunity to participate in animal assisted therapies, such as canine therapy or much loved equine therapy. Equine therapy works very well for girls who have failed to respond to conventional therapeutic techniques. Girls who may be oppositional in talk therapy sessions at the beginning of treatment have difficulty maintaining their shell when caring for a horse or a dog, and this can lead to progressive gains outside of the animal assisted therapy milieu.
Students always enjoy equine and canine therapy, and these animal assisted therapies are included in the tuition costs and offered as an adjunct therapy to all girls.
