The Camp Recovery Center is one of America’s premiere addiction treatment facilities, offering comprehensive therapies to adults and teens, in a serene and healing environment.

Individualized Treatment

The treatment of substance abuse and addiction must align with an addict’s needs and belief system – there are no magic bullet cures for this disease, but individualized addiction treatment is more effective.

At The Camp Recovery Center, individualized treatment planning begins even before a patient’s arrival on location – as soon as a client calls into our assessment center, we begin assessing her needs and begin making recommendations on the kinds of treatment needed. The Camp Recovery Center belongs to a network of more than 200 residential behavioral health facilities, nationwide, and so although clients sometimes call us seeking help, assessment counselors will sometimes recommend another facility as a better match; and if we don’t have the kind of treatment that would be most beneficial, we will refer you outside of our organization to a facility that can help you.

When a client arrives at The Camp for treatment, care begins with a comprehensive physical and mental evaluation and a medical detoxification period if necessary. The results of the initial intake examination give counselors enough information to develop a primary treatment plan that matches the needs and wishes of the client. This individualized treatment plan is modified as necessary over the course of treatment.

The more involved, comprehensive and long lasting a period of addiction treatment, the better the outcome. Clients at The Camp can come to us for all their treatment needs, and treatment endures for long after the end of a residential stay.

Medical Detoxification

Many people come into treatment fearing the detox process, but a medicated and medically supervised drug withdrawal can be both comfortable and safe. Medical Director Dr. Stephen Stein is a specialist in addiction medicine and is licensed and able to prescribe buprenorphine (Suboxone) to patients as indicated.

Therapeutic Programming

Addiction damages the mind, body and spirit, and so treatment at The Camp Recovery Center is holistic, healing the whole person and in doing so offering a stable base for a lifetime of sobriety.

Adolescent Treatment at The Meadow Lodge

Teens needing addiction treatment may come to The Meadow Lodge at The Camp for a separately run age appropriate adolescent recovery program.

Program elements are built on a cornerstone 12 steps philosophy and also integrate:

• Individual and group counseling
• Medical detox services for teens
• 24 hour a day supervision, including medical nursing supervision around the clock
• Experiential therapies
• A ROPES course
• Gender specific therapy
• Recreational learning

Teens coming to The Meadow Lodge will participate in a structured academic program concurrently with an addiction treatment program. The Meadow’s academic program is state accredited and credits are transferable.

The Family Program, for Adults and Adolescents

Family members are invited every weekend to participate in group family therapy sessions and educational seminars. Family members are welcomed and encouraged to linger on site after the end of therapeutic programming for time spent relaxing with loved ones by the swimming pool or elsewhere within our peaceful campus.

Addiction affects the family, changing relationships and altering the whole family dynamic. Families need healing after addiction just as an addict does, and a healthy and strong family, educated about the disease of addiction and knowing how to support an addict in recovery, can be an invaluable source of sober support.

Insurance Approved Treatment

As one of the country’s most respected addiction treatment facilities, most insurance companies, HMOs, EAPs and Union Trust Funds recommend The Camp Recovery Center as a preferred provider.

We will help you to secure your entitled benefits and will work directly with your insurance company or EAP to do so. We can also help you apply for governmental disability benefits that you may qualify for once in addiction treatment.
