The Wellness Resource Center is an addiction treatment facility for people suffering from the co-occurrence of addiction and a psychiatric disorder, such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and others.

Clients with co-occurring disorders need integrated treatment for both conditions offered from a treatment team familiar with the needs and challenges of the dual diagnosis client. Clients who would likely relapse quickly after treatment at a more conventional rehab program can learn the skills at Wellness Resource Center that can lead a life of improved functioning and sobriety.

Factors that make Wellness Resource Center a better choice for the dual diagnosis client include:

• Consistent care and management of treatments for addiction and mental health issues from a treatment team that communicates effectively on the needs and progress of each patient
• Psychiatric and psychological evaluations
• A wide and very comprehensive breadth of therapeutics, that include traditional evidence based therapies, such as cognitive therapy or medication management and also complementary programming, such as yoga or expressive arts therapy.

The Therapeutic Program

Dual diagnosis patients respond very well to an integrated program of mental health and addiction therapies, offered on a very structured basis.

Therapies begin weekdays at 9am and continue full time until about 4 or 5pm. Clients will attend community 12 steps meetings during the evenings, 7 days a week. Leisure time activities include visits to the fitness club, the bowling alley or movie theater, or walks along Delray Beach; daily schedules are purposefully very full.

The Continuum of Care

Wellness Resource Center Offers:

• 28 Day primary care addiction treatment
• An extended residential care treatment
• A transitional program
• Continuing care

Medical detoxification services are not offered on site, but are available through a local provider to those in need. Assessment professionals will determine through the initial evaluation which level of care best matches the needs of each client. A person coming out of another 28 day rehab facility will most typically enter into extended care.

Independent Living Near Delray Beach

Dual diagnosis patients recovering at Wellness Resource Center will live in very comfortable 1 or 2 bedroom apartments located within a courtyard style complex of units surrounding a swimming pool. The complex is located only a mile from the Wellness Resource Center therapeutic office, and is gated for safety and monitored around the clock.

Clients engaging in therapies by day can practice independent living skills by night while residing on their own in independent living apartments. A nutritionist will help each client develop a meal plan and shop for groceries, allotting money for food out of program tuition. Clients living on their own can practice money management, food preparation, hygiene and cleanliness, time management and leisure time management.

The complex is 2 miles from the beach.

Patients may alternately choose to live in outside accommodation of their choice.

Family Involvement

Family members play an important role in the recovery process. At Wellness Resource Center, family involvement begins even prior to intake with our family therapist calling to discuss treatment goals, case histories and family participation with selected family members.

During the treatment process, the family therapist is available by phone or email to provide treatment updates and the whole family is invited on site once every 60 days for a family treatment weekend.

The family treatment weekend includes therapeutics such as:

• Whole family therapy
• Expressive family therapy
• Holistic family therapy
• Al-Anon meetings
• Educational seminars

The family weekend helps family members heal damaged family systems and learn how best to support a loved one in the recovery process.

Insurance

Many insurance companies, such as the Ontario Health Insurance Plan, favor Well Resource Center with preferred provider status. Admission counselors will verify your eligibility for coverage and benefits with your insurance company prior to the start of treatment and will work for you to get your maximum allotted coverage.
